What Affects My Oklahoma Car Insurance Rate?
So after reading our recent post on how auto accidents can affect your Oklahoma insurance, you probably are wondering what else can change your rate.
The time you go without accidents. A good driving record can actually pay off. If you do not have an accident of file any claims for one year then your auto insurance rate can actually go down. On the other hand if you do have an accident, especially one that is your fault, your rate will most likely increase.
Speeding and parking tickets are another thing that people tend to worry about. One ticket will not affect your insurance rate, unless it is one for reckless driving or DUI. A regular speeding ticket goes on your record but not until more than one ticket will if affect your auto insurance rate directly.
What about car color? This is a common insurance myth that many people still ask about. The color of your car will not affect your insurance rate. The age, condition, and mileage on it might though. So go ahead and buy that red car you want, it will not affect your insurance.
