"7 Deadly Sins" of Hotel Insurance

If it's been awhile since you have reviewed our "7 Deadly Sins of Hotel Insurance" Report, now might be a good time to review. With 50 years of combined insurance experience and over 30 years working with hoteliers, Chet and I have seen what happens when hoteliers have proper insurance at the time of a loss. Sadly, we've also seen losses where proper insurance was not in place and the extreme hardship that causes.

Several years ago, I wrote a report for hoteliers. This report discusses seven particular pitfalls for hotel property owners. We will be revising the report in early summer in order to reflect additional threats facing the hospitality industry today..

Now what if all hotel owners were able to prevent these downfalls and have an insurance policy they know they can rely on? They would certainly have peace of mind and then would be able to focus on running a successful business. But how do you know if you're really insured to the proper amounts and values? You don't.

The best you can do is find a reliable agent who you trust. Trust is the key in any business. But in the insurance business it's especially important. If you can't trust your agent to tell you when you're coverage is too low or you're missing a very vital coverage, then getting insurance policies will only be a constant nagging in the back of your mind.

I recently found out that one of our competitors was using our "7 Deadly Sins" report on their website. It was interesting to us, that even our competitors trusted what I had to say about insurance pitfalls and their thinking it important enough to post on their site.

Our National Hotel Insurance Program addresses those "7 Deadly Sins" plus many more pitfalls and hazards today's hoteliers face. Feel free to contact any of our Team if you have questions.

If you'd like to read my free report, visit our website at www.rci-ins.com or e-mail us at info@rci-insurance.com and we'll send you a copy of our "7 Deadly Sins" report. There might be something you can learn or share with others about insuring hotels.

Mick Cottom
